Our client wanted to upgrade a tired looking tarmac drive. We offered several different surfacing options before finalising on a porous resin surface. To offer a more distinctive appearance, we suggested highlighting the entrance path using natural stone paving. Once the type of aggregate and colour had been agreed, we set about breaking up and disposing of the existing driveway.
All materials were taken away for recycling before a new stone sub-base was installed. The new natural stone path was laid on a concrete foundation and pointed with complimentary mortar. Clay paviours were used on the perimeter to frame the driveway before a tarmac binder course was laid. Finally, the resin and aggregates were thoroughly mixed and laid to provide a free draining, hard wearing and bespoke drive. The whole works took a week to complete.
