Our client required a new service road within their residential school facility. Due to the poor nature of the existing estate roads within the campus, a full highways specification was required to provide maximum durability of the finished product.
Initial architectural designs also called for a coloured tarmacadam finish, but with budgets being limited, we undertook detailed Value Engineering of the scheme to create a high quality finish in Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) that met the clients budgetary requirements.
The 200m long roadway, was completed in one week, including providing stone sub-base, base and binder course macadam and the SMA surface course.
